Use of safety harness - EL035
Course Overview
This course is designed for Lancashire County Council employees, who, during their daily duties are required to use a Safety Harness and Lanyard.
Course Aim
This course has been developed to ensure that Lancashire County Council employees who are required to use and fit a safety harness are aware of the PPE and statutory requirements.

The learning objectives are to create:
Safer working environment
A reduction of costs and down times associated with poor practice/personal injury.
Highly trained workforce
Learning Outcomes
The learners will have an understanding of the following:
Legal requirements associated with working at height regulations
Inspection of safety harness and lanyard
Correct fitting of safety harness and lanyards
Company procedures and risk assessments
Learning Methods
A range of teaching and learning methods including presentation and demonstration will be used with a focus on individual and group participation.
