Aim(s)

A Practical Session to Support Children with Autism in Foster Care: This practical, face-to-face session at County Hall is designed to give foster carers engaging ideas, strategies, and hands-on activities to support children in their care with autism. The day will be interactive and fun, with plenty of opportunities to engage in practical activities and share experiences.

Objectives

By the end of the course, foster carers will:

  • Explore practical strategies to promote learning and emotional wellbeing.

  • Gain hands-on experience with activities that encourage positive engagement.

  • Learn creative approaches for managing common challenges.

  • Share ideas and build confidence through collaboration with other carers.

  • Take away ready-to-use resources,, knowledge and tips for everyday fostering with autistic children.
