Where do I go if I need support for pupils? 

There are a wide range of support services and structures available to support schools in their work around behaviour for learning. Some agencies and services work with individual pupils, others are there to offer strategic advice/guidance and access to professional learning and development.

The following services can be commissioned to support individual pupils, classes and whole school behaviour:

Lancashire Specialist Teachers
  • Packages of support for SEND & SEMH.

  • Support for SENDCOs on SEND paperwork and processes and guidance on implementing the Graduated Approach.

  • Staff training.

Lancashire Inclusion & Engagement Service (IEST)
  • Direct support for children & young people with an EHCP or those at risk of exclusion.

  • Resources which include approaches to address and support some core challenges, such as self-esteem, anxiety and anger. Lancashire Mind

Lancashire Mind have commissioned packages of support for mental health for whole school, individual pupils and parents. They also have an offer of virtual coaching for pupils, parents or staff which is currently at no cost to schools.
