Empowering excellence in our community

We want to celebrate the unique young people of Lancashire—those who strive to make a difference in the lives of others as they grow from childhood through their teenage years and into adulthood. We’re seeking children who inspire those around them, make a meaningful difference, and actively help build a stronger, more connected community.

This will be an annual awards celebration

Any young person who attends a Lancashire school (maintained or Academy) can be nominated by their school and each award could have a winner across four different age categories (EYFS/KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4). The judging panel will put together a shortlist and decide the winners. We are looking for a range of nominations where a child or young person has really made a difference throughout Lancashire.

Winners will be announced in June and there will be an awards ceremony in the early evening of Wednesday 8th July 2026 at the Exchange, Preston. The winners will be invited to attend with a guest or two.

Nominations are being taken until 30th March 2026 and are open now. Who in your school deserves one of these prestigious accolades? Any member of school staff is welcome to nominate a young person for an Lancashire Education and Learning Award therefore we encourage you to click the links below.
