Culture Hacks

Culture hacks are volunteers aged 11 to 24 who support activities in Lancashire libraries and Lancashire Archives.

What culture hacks do

Culture hacks work with our staff to run a range of events and activities, including:

  • children’s activities linked to our reading programmes

  • Lego clubs

  • coding and science clubs

  • exhibitions and displays

You can volunteer regularly or for a short period, such as during the summer holidays.

What culture hacks receive

Culture hacks get:

  • branded clothing

  • a booklet to track their achievements

  • opportunities to gain awards

Why volunteer

  • count towards other awards

  • help you build skills and confidence
