Lancashire county council support

We helped community libraries get set up by giving:

  • £5,000 for internet access and cover set-up costs

  • shelves and a supply of books

  • advice and guidance from a library manager

The community library manager helped with:

  • setting up a constitution (rules that guide running the library)

  • gaining charity status

  • fundraising

  • setting milestones

  • stock management

  • training volunteers
