You can get paid advice from the Lead Local Flood Authority about managing surface water and designing sustainable drainage systems (SuDS) for major development proposals.

When to use this service
Before submitting a major planning application with surface water drainage
To address issues raised by the Lead Local Flood Authority on live applications, for example if your proposal has received an objection about surface water flood risk or drainage
To help with the discharge of conditions recommended by the Lead Local Flood Authority
Using this service helps you submit a stronger application and reduces the risk of an objection from the Lead Local Flood Authority.
How to use the service
Complete the application form and prepare your supporting evidence
Email your application and evidence to suds@lancashire.gov.uk or send them by post
If your application is valid, you will receive an invoice for payment
After payment, we will contact you to arrange a technical meeting
Following the meeting, we will send written advice summarising the key points within the timescales set out in our Terms of Service

The cost depends on your site area and which service you choose (standard or fast track).
